ValueNews recommended newsreaders and setup instructions

In order to begin you must make sure you have Microsoft Outlook Express MacIntosh Edition. The Following instructions will not work with any other version of MicroSoft Outlook. To obtain a copy of Outlook Express contact www.microsoft.com/mac/products/ie

STEP 1: Open Outlook Express.

STEP 2: Open the Tools menu on the menu bar at the top of the screen.

STEP 3: Select Accounts.

STEP 4: Select the News from the pop-up menu.

STEP 5: Click on New in the menu bar at the top left corner of the pop-up menu.

STEP 6: Enter one of our server names EX: corp-news.newsfeeds.com as the news server in the Edit Account menu. Then check the "this server requires me to log on" box and enter your username and password. After that click the ok box.

STEP 7: At this point your username should appear to the right of the newsgroups icon in the folders bar on the left of the screen. Click this item and it will download your newsgroups.
